Introduced on 11th April 1971 as a service between Fidelio St/Aida St and Delta Circus.
On 15th November 1981, skipped Fidelio St.
Withdrawn on 15th September 1985.

Re-introduced on 29th November 1992 as a service between Pasir Ris and Lor 1 Geylang.
On 23rd May 1993, merged with Service 4 and extended to St Michael's Terminal.
On 21st June 2003, amended to ply Jln Besar, Kitchener Rd and Serangoon Rd under NEL Rationalisation Phase 1.

Service 22Edit

Introduced on 11th April 1971 as a service between Fidelio St/Aida St and Alexandra Rd/Pasir Panjang Rd.
On 3rd February 1974, skipped Opera Estate.
Withdrawn on 15th September 1985.

Re-introduced on 24th January 1988 as a service plying between Ang Mo Kio and Tampines.
On 21st June 2003, amended to ply Serangoon Central and Upp Serangoon Rd under NEL Rationalisation Phase 1.

On 6th January 1991, amended to loop at Rochor Canal Rd.
On 18th September 1995, amended to Tampines Ave 5/1 and Bedok North Rd with the opening of Temasek Polytechnic.

Service 24Edit

Introduced on 25th June 1983 as a service between Ang Mo Kio and Changi Airport PTB, with the merger of SBS Services 392, 394 and SSB Service 727.
On 11th November 2007, calls at new bus stop located at Changi Airport Terminal 3.
On 9th January 2012, converted to a loop service at Changi Airport.

Introduced on 31st December 1978 as a service between Ang Mo Kio and Chai Chee.
On 25th February 1979, amended to Bedok Int.
On 7th July 1985, amended to Ang Mo Kio Ave 3, Hougang Aves 2/3, Eunos Link and Jln Eunos.

Service 26Edit

Introduced in 1980 as a service between Bedok and Bendemeer Rd (loop).
On 27th August 1989, merged with Service 148 and extended to Toa Payoh Int
In 1994, amended to ply Jln Kolam Ayer, Bendemeer Rd, Whampoa North and Serangoon Rd.
On 4th May 2003, amended to ply Geylang Bahru, Bendemeer Rd and Whampoa East, skipping Jln Kolam Ayer.

Service 27Edit

Introduced on 24th January 1988 as a service between Tampines and Changi Airport PTB.
On 29th November 1992, extended to Pasir Ris Int. On 24th January 1993, amended to serve Tampines Int in both directions.
On 23rd October 1994, amended to ply Pasir Ris St 52.
On 18th September 1995, amended to Tampines Int, with the introduction of Service 15 & extension of Service 53.
On 25th July 1999, extended to Sengkang Ter.
On 29th December 2002, extended to Hougang Ctrl Int via Sengkang Ctrl, Hougang Ave 6 & 10.
On 11th November 2007, calls at new bus stop located at Changi Airport Terminal 3.
On 9th January 2012, converted to a loop service at Changi Airport.

Service 28Edit

Introduced on 20th February 1984 as a service between Tampines Ave 5 and New Bridge Rd.

Its route was:
It plies Tampines Ave 5, Simei Ave, Bedok Rd, New Upper Changi Road, Changi Road, Geylang Road (Sims Ave and Sims Ave East in the return journey), Kallang Road, North Bridge Road (Victoria St in the return journey) and New Bridge Road (Eu Tong Sen St in the return journey).

Upon completion of the New Bridge Rd Terminal on 6th June 1987, amended to use the new terminal instead of temporary roadside bus stops along New Bridge Rd.
On 29th November 1987, amended to Tampines Int.
Withdrawn on 29th November 1992.

Re-introduced on 2nd October 1995 as a service between Tampines and Bedok (loop) via Tampines Ave 9.
On 29th October 2000, merged with Service 152 and extended to Toa Payoh Int.
On 23rd March 2003, amended to Tampines Ave 9, Tampines St 32 & 34.

Introduced in 1987 between Tampines Ave 5 and Changi Airport Cargo Complex (loop).
On 26th April 1987, amended to Netheravon Rd.
On 29th November 1987, amended to Tampines Int.
On 29th November 1992, amended to loop at Changi Village Terminal for trips after 1930 hours only.
In 1994, amended to loop at Changi Village.

Introduced on 11th April 1971 as a service between Changi Rd (near Siglap Rd) and Prince Edward Rd.
On 25th February 1979, extended to Bedok Int. At the same time, shortened to loop at Kallang Sports Complex.
On 4th February 1985, extended to Tampines Ave 5.
On 29th November 1987, amended to Tampines Int.
On 5th December 1993, extended to Toa Payoh Int, skipping Kallang Sports Complex.
On 5th June 2005, amended to ply Sims Way and Geylang Rd in the direction of Guillemard Rd/Nicoll Highway, calls at 2 additional stops along Sims Ave.
On 26th June 2005, amended to ply Sims Way in the direction of Geylang Rd, called at an additional stop along Geylang Rd.

Service 32Edit

Introduced on 11th April 1971 as a service between Kampong Chai Chee and Mei Chin Rd.
On 25th February 1979, extended to Bedok Int.
On 2nd December 1979, amended to loop at Upper Cross St.
On 23rd October 1988, extended to Buona Vista Ter.
On 29th March 1992, amended to Tiong Bahru Rd and ply Redhill MRT Station.
On 26th June 2005, amended to Sims Way.

Mountbatten Rd, Sims Way, Geylang Rd instead of Mountbatten Rd, Geylang Rd.

Service 33Edit

Introduced on 11th April 1971 as a service between Changi Rd (near Siglap Rd) and Clementi Rd (opposite Jln Bendera).
On 13th March 1978, extended to Chai Chee Ter.
On 14th November 1979, amended to Telok Kurau. At the same time, amended to Pasir Panjang Rd.
On 16th August 1981, amended to Kent Ridge Ter.
On 15th September 1985, amended to Bedok Int.

There were special peak period runs which serve Geylang Rd (linking from Still Rd) in the direction of Kent Ridge and Sims Ave (and link up to Joo Chiat Rd) in the direction of Bedok Interchange.

Trips with special runs have distinctive yellow bold text marked "SIMS AVE" and "GEYLANG" in both English and Chinese text on both left and right sides of the service number on the side service plates. The service plates in the early 1980s contain just the terminal name and the service number in very large font, without indicating the roads served.

On 29th May 1988, skipped Portsdown Rd with the opening of the Buona Vista Flyover, which is part of the AYE.
On 26th June 2005, amended to Sims Way.

Its amended route was:

Mountbatten Rd, Sims Way, Geylang Rd instead of Mountbatten Rd, Geylang Rd.

Direction 2:

Service 34Edit

Introduced on 11th June 1995 as a service between Bedok and Changi Airport PTB (loop).
Withdrawn on 14th September 2002.

Re-introduced on 31st July 2005 as a service between Punggol and Changi Airport PTB.
On 11th November 2007, calls at new bus stop located at Changi Airport Terminal 3.
On 9th January 2012, converted into a loop service at Changi Airport.

Service 35Edit

Introduced on 9th July 1995 as a service between Bedok and Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal (loop).
On 19th November 2011, amended to call at a pair of bus stops outside Bedok Station along New Upp Changi Rd.

Service 36Edit

Re-numbered from Service 16E in Dec 1997 as a one-directional semi-express peak-hour service between Bt Merah and Changi Airport.
On 6th September 1998, re-routed to start from Changi Airport PTB and loop at Tomlinson Rd. At the same time, amended to Suntec City and converted to a full-day trunk service, with the shortening of Service 16 to Marine Parade.
On 18th July 2003, amended to skip a bus stop at Siglap Link while it plied Siglap Rd and a relocated bus stop along Siglap Link.
On 11th November 2007, calls at new bus stop located at Changi Airport Terminal 3.
On 28th July 2013, calls at a new pair of bus stops along Tanjong Katong Road South.

Service 37Edit

Introduced on 27th February 1995 as a service between Tampines and Changi North Crescent (loop).
On 8th March 2004, revision of operation hours to 0615 – 0840 (AM Peak) and 1550 – 1900 (PM Peak).
On 22nd January 2007, conversion from peak-hour Sservice to day service.
On 20th October 2007, call at the 3 new bus stops located along Changi North Crescent.

Service 38Edit

Introduced on 7th April 2002 as a service between Tampines and Bedok via Simei New Town, with the merger of Services 220 and 290.

Service 39Edit

Introduced on 17th August 2003 as a service from Tampines to Yishun via Pasir Ris.
On 25th July 2004, calls at an additional pair of bus stops along Jln Kayu (Outside Seletar Camp Gate).

Service 40Edit

Re-numbered from STC Route 2, introduced on 11th April 1971 as a service between Telok Kurau and Prince Edward.
On 16th November 1975, amended to Chai Chee via New Upp Changi Rd.
On 10th June 1984, shortened to loop at MacPherson Est.
On 8th September 1985, amended to Bedok Int.
On 3rd May 1992, amended to Siglap Rd, skipping Telok Kurau Rd.
