Re-introduced by SBST as a direct connection between Jurong West Neighhourhood 2(N2) to the Gek Poh Ville Neighbourhood Centre along Jurong West Ave 5 in 2005.

Amended to call at all stops along Upp Jurong Rd in Jan 2004.

Service 182X was also amended to loop at Tuas South Ave 9, skipping Tuas Checkpoint.

On Monday 28 Jan 2008, Service 182X was re-numbered to service 182M.

New Bridge Road - Jurong

Upon completion of the New Bridge Rd Terminal on 6th June 1987, this service was amended to use the new terminal instead of temporary roadside bus stops along New Bridge Rd.

Withdrawn in 1992.

Re-introduced as Tuas Terminal - Tuas South Ave 6 loop service in 1998.

Extended to ply Tuas South Ave 9 and 8, skipping Ave 6 during the Jurong West rationalisation in 11 Feb 2001.

Merged with service 182 in May 2002.


Re-introduced to ply between Jurong East and Kent Ridge via Toh Guan East Road and Commonwealth Avenue West in Aug 2004.

Withdrawn in 1987.

Re-introduced on 10th July 1988, it originally plied from Jurong Int to Jurong West St 91, to serve as a direct link between the new Jurong West N9 neighbourhood to Lakeside MRT/Jurong Int.

On 1st July 1990, when Jurong Int was closed, it was amended to Jurong Bus Park.

The service was then withdrawn on 20th Jan 1991, together with 175.

Re-introduced to ply from Choa Chu Kang to HarbourFront in 1998.

Handed to TIBS in 1999.

In 2007, Express Service 188E was introduced to provide a faster link between Choa Chu Kang and Harbourfront.

In May 2010, Express Service 188R was introduced between Choa Chu Kang and Resorts World Sentosa.
